Security & Privacy
Samply is a secure and professional way to share audio. It is trusted as a core tool in the workflows of many Grammy-winning engineers, producers, and artists to manage their work-in-progress audio files.
Note: If you are working on highly sensitive content and would like to learn more about our security practices, don't hesitate to reach out to us directly. We'd be happy to walk you through our systems in more detail.
Access control
Everything you upload to Samply is private by default.
The most secure way to share tracks is by inviting collaborators using a verified email address. Your collaborators will receive a link to access your project. If they don't already have a Samply account, they'll be able to verify their email and create one for free.
We also support secure link-sharing by using unique, random, and unguessable URLs. Recipients of the link can access and listen to the shared content without needing to create an account, making the sharing process seamless. Anyone who has the link can access the content, so be cautious when sharing it to ensure it only reaches the intended recipients.
Data encryption
We use enterprise-grade encryption to ensure that your data is secure from outside attacks.
- At-Rest Encryption: AES-256 (Advanced Encryption Standard) locks down all data at the storage layer.
- In-Transit Encryption: Data is encrypted before transmission, authenticated at the endpoints, then decrypted and verified on arrival.
- Password Encryption: All passwords are securely hashed using modern cryptographic algorithms, ensuring they are never stored or transmitted in plaintext.
Secure sign-in
You can sign in with 3rd party providers such as Apple or Google. Using these methods can make signing in more convenient and more secure since they offer their own forms of two-factor authentication or biometrics such as Apple's Face ID.
Two-factor authentication
Add an additional layer of security to your account by enrolling in two-factor authentication. You can do so from your account preferences. Once enrolled, you'll be texted a 6 digit code when you attempt to sign in.
Right to be forgotten
Should you choose to, you may delete your account and all personal data from our servers. This cannot be undone.
